Welcome to State

Welcome to State is Michigan State University's campus-wide welcome to a new academic year.

Running from August 1 through October 11, 2026, Welcome to State features signature traditions, campus-wide celebrations, student organization events, and community experiences for new and returning Spartans, and the faculty, staff, families, and community members who welcome them.
